Posy Quarterman

Born in Staten Island, NY, and raised in Portland, Oregon, Posy is a mover and a shaker, a fiercely devoted friend, and a travel addict, with a lifelong love of documenting people just as they are. She briefly attended art school in NYC, but returned to the Pacific Northwest (despite hating the rain) to study criminal justice and work in the criminal defense world. Despite loving that work, in 2007, after becoming a mother, she decided to try make a go of this photography thing. Over the last twelve years she has worked tirelessly to build a thriving family photography business in her beloved city. Posy knows the difference between show and substance, and if "authentic" has become nothing more than an internet buzzword, then she wants to reclaim it. Posy is not interested in fanfare or bullshit. She is interested in people, social justice, teaching, big earrings, and ultimately, telling people's stories with truth and heart.

Annemie Tonken

After wading knee-deep into the waters of several other careers, Annemie Tonken dove head-first into the photography pool in 2010 and hasn’t stopped swimming since. In a very short period of time, her intuitive eye for visual storytelling and keen business sensibilities helped her grow Megapixie Photography from nothing more than an idea into a thriving family photography studio in Chapel Hill, NC. She now shares her business strategies on her top-rated weekly podcast called This Can’t Be That Hard, and helps photographers streamline their workflow and increase their sales with her signature strategy the Simple Sales System. In the few minutes left over every week, you’ll find Annemie spending time with her two not-so-little boys, planning her next travel adventure, or laughing over cocktails with her nearest and dearest.

Kate Thompson

Kate is going on 8 years of running a successful, full-time photography business based out of Richmond, VA called Betty Clicker Photography. She’s never been a loud voice in the industry but has been described as a “stealthy photo ninja” on multiple occasions. She’s the introvert of the bunch, an Enneagram 5, and a mom of two. She uses her camera as a way to connect with others, ask questions, process the world around her, and document the full scope of the human experience - the light and the shadows. In the TFN world, Kate mentors photographers surrounding the topics of commercial photography and managing personal projects. She co-runs a small creative studio with her sister Anna called Palindrome Creative Co. When she’s not working, you can find her spending time with family, cooking, hiking, reading, or tending to her backyard beehives.
